The difference between hoisting the flag on August 15 and unveiling the flag on January 26..?
India gained independence by breathing free air on August 15, 1947. That's why we celebrate Independence Day every year on this date. On this date, cultural programs will be held across the country by hoisting the flag. Similarly, on 1950 January 26, the constitution came into force in the country.. Every year this date is celebrated as Republic Day. On this day, we will unfurl the tricolor flag and celebrate Republic Day in grand manner.
So to hoist the flag on August 15th.. There is a slight difference between the flag unveiling on Jan. 26.
*Let us know what is the difference*
*On August 15, the national flag will be tied below the pillar. The tricolor flag will be hoisted to signify that India has gained independence from British rule. * On the first Independence Day, our country flag was hoisted by lowering the British flag. This is how the tricolor flag will be hoisted to show that independence has come. This symbolizes the formation of a new country.
( *Note*: As the flag is already tied above the pole here on January 26th, it should be noted that we will not pull the flag from bottom to top like August 15th ).
The representative of the citizens of the country, the prime minister of the country who was directly elected by the people to the Indian Parliament, to hoist the flag on the Independence Day.. There is a reason to unfurl the President's flag on Republic Day.
By the time when independence came, the constitution of India did not come into effect.
The President who was the head of the constitution by that time did not take the post. With this, the President who is the head of the constitution will unfurl the flag on Republic Day on 26th January when the constitution came into force.
But the difference to note here is..
Another difference is .. Independence and Republic day celebrations will be held at two different locations.
So consider it our responsibility to share this information and educate our people. Hopefully, especially the students will be informed.
.... Hail India
